OHIMA — The weeklong 52nd sports meet of the Kutsapo Sports Association (KSA) commenced on Thursday at Kutsapo village in Phek district.
Attending the inaugural session as the guest speaker, Kupota Khesoh, former NDPP candidate for the 19th Phek Assembly Constituency, encouraged the youth to strive for excellence.
According to an update, he expressed happiness over the rapid improvement of sports trends within the 52 years of the KSA, during which many had participated in state and national-level sports meets.
He called on sports enthusiasts to remain committed to their strengths and work hard to bring laurels to the community, area, district, state, and the country as a whole.
K Shievotso Rhakho, chairman of the Kutsapo Village Council, also spoke at the inaugural session, while KSA president Rukuto Rhakho delivered the presidential address. KSA general secretary Thujoneyi Sapuh administered the oath to the players.
The meet will conclude on December 17.
