DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, organised a voluntary blood donation camp in Medziphema on Tuesday.
According to an update on the occasion, a total of 77 combatants donated blood. The event was organised at the Unit Hospital in Medziphema with the aim of supporting local healthcare facilities.
The Assam Rifles also extended assistance to two personnel from the Nagaland Armed Police who were injured in a road accident. The injured personnel were promptly given medical care through the coordinated efforts of Assam Rifles personnel.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the Assam Rifles mobilised a team to ensure the injured personnel were transported to the nearest medical facility. Their injuries were assessed, and the necessary treatment was administered. The medical team at the Assam Rifles camp was also on hand to provide any further care required.
It was reported that the Nagaland Armed Police personnel are now receiving treatment and are in stable condition. The Assam Rifles team continues to monitor their progress and has pledged ongoing support for their recovery.
In addition to the medical assistance, the Assam Rifles has coordinated with the Nagaland Armed Police authorities to ensure proper follow-up and extend all necessary support to the families of the injured personnel.
