Nagaland lawmakers will lead the Republic Day 2025 events, with the Governor presiding in Kohima. Key officials will raise the National Flag and take the Rashtriya Salute.
KOHIMA: The Nagaland government has declared that ministers and advisors will lead Republic Day festivities in several districts across the state on January 26, 2025. During the ceremony, they will raise the national flag and perform the Rashtriya Salute.
The governor will preside over the ceremony in Kohima. Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang, in charge of Planning & Transformation and National Highway, will officiate in Niuland, while Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, in charge of Home and Border Affairs, will preside over the event in Mokokchung.
Other important appointments include Minister G. Kaito Aye in Wokha, Minister Jacob Zhimomi in Peren, and Minister Metsubo Jamir in Akuluto. Minister Temjen Imna Along will preside in Chümoukedima, while Minister C.L. John will represent the administration in Dimapur.
Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women’s Resource Development and Horticulture, will lead the celebrations in Tseminyu, while Minister P. Bashangmongba Chang will attend in Noklak. Several advisors, notably K. Konyak in Longleng, Tovihoto Ayemi in Kiphire, and N. Y. Mannen in Mon, have also been assigned roles in their respective districts.
