All India Congress Committee (AICC) National Coordinator Minority department Rajesh Kumar Sethi Jain called upon chairman National Minority Commission Iqbal Singh Lalpura and member Dhanyakumar Jinappa Gunde at New Delhi and raised the problems faced by minorities of Nagaland particularly in Dimapur.

At the meeting, Sethi highlighted the problems faced by the minorities including Muslims, Jains, Buddhists, Kacharis & Hindus (who are also minority in Nagaland) living in Dimapur in getting facilities like Ayushman Health Scheme, Government jobs for non Nagas, land issue, Inner Line permit ILP issue, huge taxes from national workers and several unions. He also raised on concern on the minorities not receiving any scholarship funds or welfare schemes from the Minority Department of the Central Government.

A part from this, Sethi highlighted that non Nagas living for many years in Nagaland were also not getting any reservation in education for higher studies even after getting distinction or rank and faced problems in getting admission.
Sethi therefore demanded that the Central government should give special concessions to the minorities of Nagaland and give interest free scholarship for higher education.

Sethi also submitted a copy of memorandum addressed to Governor of Nagaland from Linguistic Minority Forum Nagaland to the chairman and member for necessary consideration and action.
