With the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, on 26th December 2024 at AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi, the Home Department, Government of Nagaland, has notified that as a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, seven days of State Mourning shall be observed in Nagaland, from December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025, inclusive of both days.
During this period, the National Flag shall be flown at half-mast in all places in the State where the National Flag is regularly flown. It added that there shall be no official entertainment during the period of State Mourning.
