Wangpang Konyak Inaugurates Awaho Reservoir Tank at Tammong

Advisor, Department of Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak has inaugurated the Awaho Reservoir Tank under Jal Jeevan Mission at Tammong Village, under Mon district on December 19, 2024.

According to a DIPR report, speaking at the function, the advisor expressed his gratitude to all the initiators, village elders, department and Mon Village Council for the successful completion of water supply connectivity in the village stating that it was the result of collective efforts. He also requested the villagers to learn to conserve water to avoid water scarcity.

Konyak commented that the newly recognised Tammong village is blessed and lucky to avail the facilities of the government. The Water Tank was dedicated by pastor Tammong Baptist Fellowship, T. Manto.

EE PHED Mon, Er. Lutho Katiry, appealed to the villagers to be more responsible citizens and urged them to preserve, protect, mobilize and cooperate for the sustainable management of water supply in the village.
Short speeches were delivered by Mon Village Council, Y. Tingyeih VCM and CM. Joseph, Chairman WATSAN. The programme was chaired by council secretary, Wanglem, welcome address was delivered by N. Lemnyei, H/GB and special number was presented by Tammong youth.
