Dr. Keveduyi Theyo inaugurating minor OT at DHD.
Minor operating theatre (OT) for Maxillofacial Surgery was inaugurated District Hospital Dimapur (DHD)’s dental department on December 13 by DHD medical superintendent Dr. Keveduyi Theyo.
Apeaking at the inauguration programme, Dr. Keveduyi congratulated the dental department for acquiring equipment for Maxillofacial Surgery. He stated that the availability of dental X-rays and the minor OT for procedures would greatly benefit the public.
Dr. N. Moa Jamir, who chaired the programme, expressed gratitude to all those responsible who helped establish the Minor OT for Maxillofacial Surgery at DHD. He also informed the participants on the benefits of Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Moa Jamir it was a specialized surgery focusing on reconstructive surgery of the facial traumas and injuries, anatomical defects like cleft lips and palate, corrective jaw surgery, impactions, and other oral lesions of different origins.
State health and family welfare (HF&W) department deputy director (dental), Dr. Reyosalu Lase, reiterated the benefits of the minor OT for Maxillofacial Surgery at DHD and lauded those involved in bringing the service to the public.
Earlier, Rev. Yhunlo Thong offered the dedicatory prayer and the vote of thanks was proposed by senior dental surgeon Dr. Jeshua Nchang.
