Saif Ali Khan finally was discharged from hospital on Monday following surgery for injuries sustained during attempted robbery.
The Mumbai Police have issued temporary police protection to actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in response to a dagger attack that occurred on the former. Last week, Saif sustained an injury during a stabbing incident at his residence with Kareena. Subsequently, he underwent surgery and spent five days in the hospital. Saif Ali Khan was stabbed, and the third knife used in the assault was discovered near Bandra Lake.
On Tuesday, Saif was released from the Lilavati Hospital and subsequently returned to his residence in Bandra. Saif, Kareena, and their two children, Taimur and Jeh, are currently under provisional police protection, according to an ETimes report. The family has been furnished with two constables, who will guarantee their safety whenever they venture outside, according to an official quoted in the report.
The report also indicates that the Bandra police station has enhanced its patrolling and vigilance, both on foot and in vehicles. Numerous actors and high-profile celebrities reside in the affluent neighborhood in southern Mumbai. However, it has experienced a series of severe crimes in recent months, such as the murder of Baba Siddiqui, the shooting at Salman Khan’s residence, and the assault on Saif. The police have announced that the visitor locations in the suburb will be monitored on an hourly basis.
Saif has enhanced the security measures at his residence in Bandra since the attack. The actor resides in an apartment complex located in Bandra (West). A security agency was contracted to install CCTV cameras at the entrance days prior to his return home. Ronit Roy, an actor, has confirmed to HT City that a security firm he owns is currently assisting in the enhancement of security measures at Saif’s residence.
Saif Ali Khan sustained six injuries, including deep cuts on his neck and back, as a result of a knife assault by an intruder at his residence last week. Saif, according to reports, was attempting to safeguard his family and staff from the intruder. The actor returned home on Tuesday and was greeted by a chorus of applause from his admirers as he made his way to his residence. The defendant, a Bangladeshi national, has been apprehended and is currently in police custody. Police allege that the individual intended to burglarize Saif’s residence and was unaware of the actor’s celebrity status.
